Recorded winter 2010-11, Fredericton, in the basement of an old canoe factory (which was then an art gallery), and a small apartment across the street. The songs were all written a few years earlier, though. They had been around for quite a while before they were finally recorded here, actually, and the whole thing has become a document of irretrievable spaces at this point, as the things that inspired it seem pretty distant now, but also the woods in the cover photo have mostly been cut down, and the space it was recorded in has since been renovated and changed around.
As the title indicates, there is a second part in the works. For now though, you can listen to this one over at Bandcamp.
